Franzensbad (1827)

The Franzen’s spring was tapped in 1827. The Lower Austrian provincial government built the bath above it and named it after the reigning Emperor Franz I. The facility served as a bath for the poor, especially for the charitable spa foundation.  Since 2004 the bath has housed a hammam.
