Happy Birthday, Mozart!
On trail of a genius
guided by Christine Triebnig-Löffler
City walks are only available in english on request.
On the day before Mozart's birthday, January 27th 1756, we embark on a journey through Baden to trace the footsteps of the "Favorite of the Gods." It is a great stroke of luck for the town that Mozart stayed here several times during his final three years of life, and even immortalized himself through the composition of "Ave Verum" during his time in Baden. This guided walk delves into the town's daily life, including its spa and culinary culture, Mozart’s social life here, as well as the turbulent marriage to Constanze, marked by longing, jealousy, her health troubles, financial struggles, his genius compositions, and moments of enjoyment in the "Gebürgskeller" tavern and the local casino!
The grand finale will take place at the "King of Instruments," the magnificent Baroque organ in St. Stefan—a living witness to Mozart's time.
