Roman Spring / Original Spring ( 1st century A.D.)
29 degrees C
The Römerquelle (original spring) rises under the Sommerarena in the Kurpark. As early as 50 AD, Roman legionnaires from Vindobona and Carnuntum built an impressive bathing complex at the spring, the size of which can be reconstructed from the finds uncovered in 1796. South of this thermal bath complex, the Roman spa resort AQUAE (Latin: Bath, Source) was built, which gave the town the name BADEN.
